WSFDW may endorse candidates for Federal or State Office (including legislative district representative and state senator). Only declared Democratic Party candidates may be endorsed by WSFDW or member clubs. At-large members may only endorse as an individual, not as a member of WSFDW.

After close of filing for elected office, the Political Action Committee may send question letters to each declared Democratic candidate. They will contain 2 or 3 questions based on the WSFDW platform. All received responses shall be distributed to each Executive Board member. Executive Board members may advise the President of their vote (yea or nay) on endorsement of candidates who respond.

Endorsement letters may be sent by the President as soon as a majority positive response is received on any candidate. Endorsements should be on official WSFDW stationary and signed by the WSFDW President. They shall confirm that a majority of the Executive Board voted to support the endorsement.

Member clubs may endorse candidates for partisan County offices. The club endorsement policy should not be in opposition to the WSFDW policy.
